Fresh Veggies

The key to eating clean is learning to eat foods that you recognize. Avoid products that have a long list of ingredients. If you can't pronounce the name of an ingredient put it back on the shelf. When you eat foods in their entirety (whole foods) you don't throw away egg yolks or juice the pulp out of their fruit. In most cases you won't need to take supplements because you're getting everything you need from whole foods. Remember, whenever possible shop locally (e.g. farmers market); buy fruits and vegetables grown in close proximity to where you live. Wash and freeze what you don't plan to use immediately to maintain freshness.
